I have so many things to be thankful for this year. One of those things being the baked macaroni and cheese I can already smell in the oven. Am I the only one excited about the food that’s coming? Honey baked ham is on my menu this year as my family doesn’t usually eat too much turkey. That’s perfectly fine with me, less work for mama. I’ve already made plans to stop at a few friends’ houses for specialty items. Tis is the season for extra cardio and I’m getting my moneys worth from my gym membership. It’s become a little tradition for me to over dress for the holidays. Considering I’m usually sitting on a couch with a plate of food but my new goal moving forward is to be photo shoot ready while doing so. I’m kidding of course but hey, if you look good you feel good right.
Seriously, I’m truly thankful for a sound mind, healthy happy kids, and the ability to walk in purpose. To have the privilege of waking up every day and doing what I love is a gift. I have no complaints I wish to utter and I take absolutely nothing for granted. Thanksgiving for me is about family, food and tradition however it’s also about reflecting on everything that I’m truly grateful for. The list goes on and on and I could write about my gratitude for endless paragraphs. I’ll save you the rhetoric today however my gratitude is always reflected in my smile. Some days it may waiver other days it’s bold and bright for all to see. But it’s always there nonetheless. What are you truly grateful for? Not the superficial or artificial things we have but the things money can’t buy. Today I charge you to really think about these things. How can you add to this list? How can you have a greater impact in the lives of others so that they too have something to be grateful for.
