Mrs. USA 2023: The Final Chapter

As we wrap up the year, I feel it is finally time to share my incredible experience as International Mrs. USA 2023. As I reflect on this journey as a pageantry titleholder, I am overwhelmed with emotions. It has truly been an amazing ride, filled with many highs and lows, as well as moments of self-reflection and personal development. Of all the accomplishments in my life, my time as Mrs. USA has been one of the most rewarding. I believe I was able to achieve my goals of advocacy, philanthropy, and my ultimate mission of sharing the #GirlYes initiative on a global scale.

One of the challenges I faced when sharing my experiences was trying to encapsulate an entire year of work into a single blog post. Starting Over: The Bravest Things I’ve Ever Done

Of all the things I’ve ever done in my life, one of the bravest things I’ve done to date is start over. At 29+ (and a few decades after that), I never imagined my life would truly be beginning again. In such a short time, I decided that I no longer wanted to continue on my current trajectory. I knew I needed to change course immediately. Without second-guessing myself or the decisions I had to make, I chose to pivot. I took a leap of faith, trusting that no matter where I landed, it would be better than a sea of regret.

No matter your age, life circumstances, or perceived limitations, you can always start over. It may seem daunting at first, with so many unanswered questions and difficult decisions ahead. And let’s not forget the little thing we call fear. But one thing that’s always held true in my experience is this: change is often the best option. No matter how many times you need to start over, start again. You can’t win a race you never finish.
