Meet Mrs. New Jersey America 2020

Mrs. New Jersey America 2020, social media influencer and popular salon owner Chimere Nicole Haskins has given Trenton, NJ a reason to smile. She recently won the Mrs. Jersey America 2020 pageant, a highly competitive beauty contest.

Well known for her deep understanding of beauty and fashion, which has allowed her to build a remarkable reputation as both a New Jersey salon owner and Social Media Influencer, Chimere Nicole Haskins, is certainly a special person. In exciting news, Chimere has added even more to her resume, recently celebrating being crowned Mrs. New Jersey America 2020 in a highly competitive pageant. Next up Chimere will be competing in the Mrs. America 2020 in Las Vegas scheduled for March. She is representing her own Trenton, New Jersey. The enthusiasm surrounding the event is high and rising.

“It’s a great honor to be named Mrs. New Jersey 2020,” commented the multifaceted, driven Chimere. “I am looking forward to competing in Las Vegas and I hope I can win Mrs. America for my family, friends, and all of New Jersey.”

The Mrs. New Jersey America 2020 pageant was held at the Mohegan Sun Casino and Hotel in Connecticut, drawing in a diverse selection of competition from across the state. The audience was also large for the acclaimed event, showcasing both beauty and talent.

Chimere’s salon continues to build its list of patrons, providing diverse beauty and wellness options that can leave a person looking and feeling their best. She is also the author of the book “Girl Yes: 30 Day Guide To Becoming Bold, Ambitious, And Beautiful” which is available here.

Expect the rest of 2020 and beyond to be very special for Chimere Nicole Haskins as she continues to build momentum and represents New Jersey at Mrs. America. Check out her latest new interview with the Burlington County Times where she shares her plans for her reign. Despite covid, Chimere plans to spread the message of #Girl Yes across the state and nationwide. She also has plans to continue her community service with local charities, women’s shelters, and food banks.

I’m going to take you back two last week so that you can appreciate today’s post. August 3rd I celebrated my 36th birthday, also that was the day that I started my official countdown to the Mrs. New Jersey America State pageant. Each year for my birthday I like to self-reflect on the previous year and everything that I have been able to accomplish. This year’s birthday celebration was no different. Although we are still experiencing a global pandemic I am thankful that I have been able to still focus on accomplishing some major goals thus far.

Surprise, Let’s Read

Surprise! Guess who wrote a book? Me, I’m officially an AUTHOR! Girl Yes! The amount of joy in my heart is so over whelming it took me two days to sit down and actually write this post. Honestly, I can’t sit still and per usual my brain in running on jet fuel. I can hardly contain myself. Many of you would be shocked at the fact that writing has never been my strong suit. In fact, in school I was never known as a writer. I focused more on my creative attributes than actual class work. So, to see everything come full circle for me is truly a blessing. I couldn’t have imagined this if you gave me a magical glass ball. If you would have asked me a year ago if I would ever write a book I promise you I would have laughed. I mean laughed HARD.

Recently, I was fortunate to collaborate with Mejuri to showcase one of their new limited-edition pieces from this year’s holiday collection. The piece I selected is this beautiful style necklace called “Boyfriend Denim”. What attracted me to this style necklace was the fact it reminded me of the seeing eye. I’m a huge lover of history, specifically ancient history with a concentration in Egypt. My first thought when seeing this piece was ancient Egypt and I was so excited. It truly is the little things that make me happy.

Mommy And Me-The Haskins Sisters

We have some guest on the blog today. My daughters Ariel and Leah, also known on YouTube as The Haskins Sisters. One of the many goals for my daughters is for them to learn and understand how hard I work to provide the lifestyle I was not able to have growing up. With this, they learn work ethic and what it takes to be successful entrepreneurs. So, I decided to give them a formal introduction on how I go from concept to production here on the blog. We sat down and talked about what type of photos we wanted to curate and locations in the area. This was the funniest part because they gave ideas as farfetched as taking pictures at the beach in the winter to driving to Virginia. Neither of these options was ideal for their first photo shoot with mommy. So, we settled for the neighboring town. Although, that trip to Virginia sounds pretty good about now.

Once the location was secure we talked about outfits. Do you know these two asked me for a complete wardrobe including matching lipstick and wigs lol? I can’t make this stuff up. All I could do is laugh because they were really into the concept of a “look”. Additionally, I was not agreeing to wearing a Frozen dress so we kept it simple for today’s look. You can never go wrong with black so that’s what we choose. I must say, I really enjoyed this process with them as it was a way for us to spend quality time together and allow their unique personalities to shine through. The facial expressions they make are hilarious and I realized they are truly just like me. Hope you enjoy todays mommy and me shoot and we will be bringing you more looks in the coming weeks. As long as the school work is complete and their room stays clean. It’s a part of the business deal we contracted lol.
