How To Style A Graphic Tee & Jeans
I just want to take a moment and let everyone reading this know that this was my first official blog post. I was 29 and wanted to start a blog. I had no idea what I was doing. As you can see from the photos this post is quite a few years old. I wanted to revamp my older blog post with the goal of making them as informative as possible while taking a walk down memory lane. Oh, what a time this was in my life. So now that I got that out of the way let’s talk about how we can style a classic pair of jeans with a graphic tee.
How To Style A Graphic Tee: Keep It Simple
My number one tip is to keep it simple. Oftentimes, a graphic tee is filled with multiple colors, fonts, and illustrations. Why would you want to distract from the art that is the graphic on the tee-shirt? The answer is, you don’t. Allow the artwork to speak for itself. Now I completely understand the need to “overdo it” but trust me on this. Let your personality show through the graphic tee of your choosing. Less is more in this case however, I do have a few options you can incorporate to add a bit more personality.
Add A Hat
This may not be everyone’s cup of coffee but hats are so fly and stylish. A wide brim hat or even a beanie would pair perfectly with a graphic tee outfit. My personal favorite is a fedora.
Blazer
Thinking of adding some color to your outfit? A classic blazer will do the trick. I happen to own a few blazers that I wear specifically for jean outfits. I like a tailored style blazer that gives the look a bit more structure. I will purchase inexpensive blazers and take them to the cleaners to have them taken in. This works well with my thrifted blazers as they are often one of a kind and need to cut to fit my body type.
Change The Shoes
Although this post is about styling a graphic tee, the outfit isn’t complete until you have the perfect shoe. Now, I am always gonna choose a heel because of my personal aesthetic, but a comfortable flat is just as stylish. As you can see below, I love to pair open-toe shoes with boyfriend-style jeans. It serves for a relaxed look with just enough sexy to make me feel good wearing it.
Where to Get Graphic Tee Shirts
Some of my favorite graphic tee shirts have come from Walmart and the men’s sections of Target. I love the variety the men’s section has. If I’m going for a feminine vibe as seen in my original photos below I will shop at the teen section of any department store. I just make sure to size up since the clothes are made for smaller body types.
Here is my first EVER original blog post: I woke up today with such joy and excitement because I’m getting closer to my 29th birthday this weekend. With all the joy and excitement I neglected to look at today’s weather report. Forecast, rain, rain, and more rain. I wanted to take my baby for a walk and possibly to the mall then my hopes were shattered. The rain completely destroyed any ideas of playing or walking outside today. But I did not give up, I decided to take pictures and blog anyway. Today’s outfit is a different take on the basic T-shirt and jeans. Of course, I paired them with high heels and a multi-colored clutch to add a touch of texture to the look, enjoy.
Glam4Glam Baby: Ariel’s First Birthday
I have been extremely busy planning my daughters first birthday party. With every thing that I do I its big and over the top. With this being her first birthday and so very special to me and my husband I had to devote all of my time and energy to every little detail. Her theme was Ariel’s Candy Land and me and my husband dressed up like the candy land characters to give the full effect. I hand made decorations and party favors as well as food and candy buffet. Yes my daughter had a candy buffet, and with only a couple of teeth she wasn’t able to eat any of it. I spend any free time I had try to make sure this would be a birthday to remember. I have to say me we had a great time and my daughter was enjoying her self as well. I pulled out a special surprise at the end of the party that no one knew was coming and lets just say the kids went nuts! I don’t want to write a thesis paper so I’ll just post pictures and I think you will get the point. Enjoy Dolls…
Welcome to the Party!
