Top Ten Places Online To Buy Halloween Costumes 2021

October 13, 2021 fashion

Shopping for Halloween just got so easier. Better yet, shopping for Halloween costumes online just got easier. I have been on the hunt for adorable costumes for the entire family and wasn’t having a bit of luck shopping in stores. I would either find a costume for the girls or not find one for me or they were all open and missing pieces. After searching the net I came up with the best places to purchase this season’s best costumes. The prices are as low as $5, yes you read that correctly. As low as $5, grab yours before they sell out. Here are my top ten places to buy Halloween costumes online in 2021.

  1. Amazon because seriously, it’s Amazon. They have some really adorable options and the fact that I can get them the same day or even the next day it truly a plus. It’s always a good idea to be a Prime member.
  • Pricing: $15.99+
  • Sizing: Infant-XL
  1. Target I can order online or visit my nearest store for pickup. Another store for convenience and tones of options. The best part is there is a always more than one target in the area to choose from. They currently have costumes as low as $12 and sizing starting at infants– adults.
  • Pricing: $12.99+
  • Infant – Adult
  1. Walmart usually has more options online than in stores so I find this to be a wonderful option. They also have options for kids and adults to mix and match. They have costumes as low as $5. This this by far the best deal on the entire list.

Pricing: $5.00+

Sizing: Toddler-Adult

4. Etsy is simply unique. If your looking for something different and custom Etsy is the place to shop. Shopping here will almost guarantee you will not show up to the costume party as a twin. I also happen to love supporting small businesses. They also have costumes for our four legged family members as well.

  • Pricing: $15+
  • Sizing: Infant-Adult
  1. Disney Store will have the costumes for the princess in your life. This also happens to be the store I avoid at all cost at the mall lol. My daughters love this place.
  • Pricing: $11.89+
  • Sizing: 3T+

They even have options for the family pet. I fell in love with this costume and ordered it for myself. This is the site of your looking for a costume for the adult costume party. The baby costumes are also very nice.

  • Price: $24.99+

8. Overstock was a surprise retailer for me as they offered costumes I was able to find on other online retailers. If you see something you like order it fast because supplies are limited. These prices are unbelieveable.

Price: $13.76

Sizing: Adult

9. Spirit Halloween is another great option for everything spooky. Looking for something particularly scary, this is the place to shop. Tons of scary options.

Black And White Spotted

October 11, 2021 fashion

Get dressed and look cute just because. Yes, ma’am. It’s a vibe and I’m on it. I had absolutely nowhere to go but I felt like wearing this blazer. I’ve had it for months hanging in my office like a trophy. Waiting for the perfect opportunity to wear it. Well I created the opportunity, it’s a regular day and I’m celebrating it.

The same thing goes for these stirrup pants. I purchased these in the spring and almost forgot all about them. I feel like my clothes be hiding out in the darkest places on earth, the back of my closet. My intention is to go through my entire wardrobe and organize everything. That way I can find all the pieces that still have tags attached and wear them before it’s too late.

Am I the only one who saves outfits? I hope I’m not. But I’m at a point in my life where I just want to live. Wake up and be fabulous every second of the day. I really have a new lease on life and I’m loving the skin I’m in.

So If you happen to see me all dressed up in the park or the grocery store please mind your business, lol. I’m just living my best life, and I’m hoping you do the same.

Amazon Favorites: My Top Picks For Fall Boots

September 30, 2021 fashion

Hello queen.

I’ve been on Amazon, per usual and came across some really cute inexpensive boots for the fall. Fall is my favorite time of year because I’m able to layer my pieces and add a bit more texture to my wardrobe. Think flannel, suede, knits, and more. Its especially my favorite time of year because I can pull out some of my favorite boots. Ankle, knee, and thigh high, boots are a staple in everyone’s wardrobe. Amazon has some affordable options for the fall and winter.

I have another wishlist I will be adding to the blog soon with a higher price point but I wanted to share some budget friendly options as well. I clearly can’t stay away from Amazon. Additionally, I recently found some amazing eyelashes from Amazon that I can’t stop raving about. I’m saving money updating my wardrobe and I’m sharing all my fashion finds. Be sure to check out my post about me saving money on my ever growing perfume collection.

Post Surgical Bras You Need Now

After any breast surgery the number one concern is comfort and support. The bra you choose makes all the difference in your healing process and I know first hand all surgical bras are not made equal. During my recovery from reconstructive breast surgery I have gone through about 20 different post op, compression, surgical bras. So the bras I’ve picked are top notch and budget friendly.

The biggest challenge I faced was not finding a bra that would fit long term and would be comfortable. Most surgical bras are a bit low cut. For me, the issue was my breast was completed reconstructed and I had sutures covering the entire breast. So I needed a bra that would give me complete coverage and not irritate the healing skin. I went through quite a bit of styles before I was able to get bras that fit properly.

I wanted to share with you some of my favorite surgical bras I’ve purchased over this year. Some I still wear to this day because of the comfort and support they supply. My surgery was very invasive thus I needed bras that would help me heal and give me the coverage I need to feel comfortable. I hope these help you on your journey.

Here are my top picks

I also have a post of all of the things I needed before surgery HERE and after my breast surgery HERE. Also, If you want to learn more about my breast health journey I have another post HERE as well.

The Perfect Off White Suit Under $100

September 29, 2021 fashion

Me and white do not get along. I mean I love white and wear it all the time but trying to keep it spotless has become a part time job and at this point I deserve a check.

I’ve always wanted to own a white suit. In my mind it’s the ultimate power color and it’s just so clean and sharp. It takes the girl boss vibe to another level. A woman in white is not only beautiful but strong and empowered.

A few weeks back I did a photo shoot for my book Girl Yes and I was looking all over for a white suit that was cut to fit my curvy figure. Additionally, I also wanted the suit to provide a level of stretch that was comfortable. After going from store to store I decided online might be my best bet.

Is it me or is it harder to shop in stores now? They typically only have 2 items available per style, now varying sizes, and no employees working.

I wasn’t looking for anything too expensive, just something that would photograph well, fit properly, and make me feel confident. I also wanted quality material. That’s also another issue I’ve been running into lately.  These Instagram and online boutiques will have you spending an arm and a leg and getting dish rags for clothing. After one wash the fabrics are ruined and the clothes are two sizes too small. I was delighted when after more than a week of searching I found something.

It came in the form of an off white suit from PrettyLittleThing. My online shopping typically only happens when there is a sale going on and this time was no different. I scored this suit for 65% off. I had to purchase each piece separately however it was still under $100. Not bad for a boss lady suit.

The crop pants fit me like a glove and hang perfectly over my hips. Although I am tall, the length of the pants was also great. The blazer is my favorite. I decided to wear it without a shirt because well, I can and it was the look I was going for. Bold and ambitious, the #GirlYes way.

I am also thinking of ordering this same suit in blue for a new project I have coming up. Prettylittlething has sales very often so I’m sure I will pick up quite a few pieces from the site. I’ll be adding items to my chart in the meantime.
