Skinfix Skin Care Product Review: Does It Really Work?

December 14, 2016 beauty

skinfix

As a beauty and fashion blogger I often times have an abundance of products in my collection at any given time. Some products are often over looked and other times just don’t make the cut. I love testing out new brands and seeing the effects of new ingredients and products. Today I am going to share with you a new line of skin care products I was fortunate enough to receive. Note: This is not a sponsored post and honey if I don’t like something I just won’t share it on my blog. Unless it’s horrible and I need to warn you lol. Now, over the last 2-3 weeks I have been testing out the entire skin care line but Skinfix. I learned about the brand from a beauty conference I attended and was curious about the brand. I received the products I immediately began to test them out. Today I’m going to give you a complete break down of the entire line of products I received and my opinion on each product.

Skinfix Foaming Oil Cleanser

This face wash has become a morning staple in my skin regime. This face wash is not only great at cleansing my skin but it doesn’t leave my skin dry. Also one thing I need to note that I love about this product line is that it tells you on the packaging the percentage of all natural ingredients which I love. This face wash is 97% all natural. If I had to recommend only one product for all skin types it would be this face wash. It also removes makeup really well and does not a strong smell.

Skinfix Moisture Boost Serum

I haven’t been much of a serum girl. I recently started adding them to my skin care routine since I noticed great results with this one. I only tested this serum for 2 weeks but I used it morning and night. The most noticeable results I’ve found were my skin becoming more radient and plump in texture. I would see the best results in the morning. My skin looked refreshed and hydrated. After the 2 weeks of testing were finished, I’ve been using the serum in the morning after cleansing with the foaming cleanser.

Skinfix Brightening Eye Cream

This product for me wasn’t a wow product for me. Now I may not be the best person at the moment to test eye cream. But I did test it for the 2 week like all the other products. I don’t really have any issues with my under eyes except the occasional under eye Chanel bags from lack of sleep. However, I did notice a little tightening when using this product. That’s always a great thing as the goal is to keep the skin from sagging and wrinkle free.

Skinfix Hydrating Lotion

Another brand favorite, this hydrating lotion is perfect under makeup. This is also another product I have added to my morning routine. I apply immediately following cleansing with the foam cleanser. It’s wonderful because it doesn’t contain oils to clog my pores and keep my skin smooth. This lotion is 97% all natural and did not irritate my skin at all.

Skinfix Nourishing Cream

I incorporated this cream at night after my cleansing my skin. Typically I use heavy cream moisturizers at night because I wear makeup all day. Once I remove the makeup I cleanse twice, exfoliate, apply serum and then moisturize. This cream is a light in consistency and can be worn under makeup as well. It’s 97.5% all natural and that’s what makes this brand stand out among the rest.

Skinfix Hand Cream

I have this hand cream everywhere! I have it on my desk, the car, my purse, and even my gym bag. I have become manic about my hands staying moisturized and soft. It’s a ultra rich formula but not greasy which I love. There’s nothing worse than applying hand cream then touching paper and leaving a oil spot. My hands remain moisturized hours after applying and smells great also. I would definitely  recommend this hand cream for anyone who washes there hands as many times as I do during the day.

Overall, this line is great for normal and sensitive skin types. I had great results testing these products and I hope this break down of the Skinfix products helped answered any questions you had regarding the line. I had a chance to look over there Instagram account and noticed they have a wide arrangement of products for all skin types. You can get more on Skinfix by visiting there website here.

Grow Your Hair Fast|Top 5 Tips

Grow Your Hair Fast

When it comes to growing your hair there is so much information available it can be quite confusing. When I started my hair growth journey over 2 years ago there weren’t any creditable resources online on how to grow your hair fast. I have personally researched this topic and was quite surprised at all the misguided and quite often wrong information available on the topic. In order to grow your hair fast and efficiently you have to have a solid game plan and hair care routine. Today’s post I will be sharing with you my hair growth journey that has spanned over the last 2 years. I was able to grow about 14 inches of healthy hair with the tips I will be sharing with you in today’s video tutorial.  I also will list my top 5 tips on how to grow hair fast.

Top 5 Tips To Grow Hair FAST

  1. Only lather your hair once while washing. This will ensure your hair won’t be dry and will retain it’s natural oils.
  2. Seal the hair cuticle EVERY TIME you after you deep condition. This will eliminate fly aways and and split ends. I have a video explaining this process HERE.
  3. Wash your hair in one direction. Do NOT over manipulate your hair while washing.
  4. Keep all heat tools on the lowest setting. I.E blow dryers, flat irons, etc.
  5. Leave your conditioners on longer and rinse with COLD water to seal the hair cuticle.

I hope you will incorporate these hair care tips into your current regimen. The key to long lasting haircare is to be consistent. Also remember your diet and water intake also plays a key role in how your hair, skin, and nails grow. Although your genetics play a major role in how fast your hair can grow these tips will help to maintain the hair growth. Let me know your thoughts below and be sure to share this article with your friends. Sharing is caring!

The Bold And The Beautiful::African Print Skirt- Chimere Nicole

September 14, 2016 fashion

Fall really is my favorite time of the year. Flowers are in bloom and the weather is just perfect for a afternoon stroll. Today I wanted to go bold with this African print skirt. I received this as a gift from one of my favorite clients, Ms.Eva. I always wanted a Ankara inspired dress but I wanted to make the look more casual and not so festive. I paired the skirt with a jean shirt and tasseled heels. The thing I love about Ankara inspired prints is that they are colorful and eye catching. A simple white T shirt and a pretty necklace would also look great with this skirt. This was a very comfortable look despite the high heels and worked perfectly for my mid day stroll.

Learning To Let Go – Chimere Nicole

Miss Ariel

This has got to be one of the hardest days for me as a mother. I know some people may read this post and think I’ve lost my ever loving mind but it just got REAL in my household. My baby is starting school today! Now again, it may not be a huge deal to some but I am VERY over protective of my children. I don’t let them out of my sight, so the thought of my baby going to school for 8 hours, with strangers, and I don’t know what’s she’s doing freaks me out. I mean yesterday I had a total melt down in Target buying school supplies. I mean tears, people staring, and Ariel asking me why I’m sad about her going to school. I just can’t wrap my mind out all this change. This can’t be happening, right? I feel like one minute I felt her kicking me in my tummy, then next she’s walking. Now it’s school, LORD send help. I can’t believe the time has come and now I have to learn to let go. I’m having a total melt down and I need some chocolate, and maybe even a sedative. My nerves are shot. Breathe Chimere, BREATHE!

Just a little history, so you know where I’m coming from. Ariel for me is not only my first born, she apart of my testimony. Before I conceived her I was told by my physicians I would have to wait a year or maybe more before I even considered trying to conceive a child. The news was shocking and heart breaking considering what I had already gone through at the time and I wasn’t sure I would be able to be a mother. I prayed, cried, and prayed again. I just wanted the option to have children. So imagine my surprise when six months later I find out I’m pregnant! You want to talk about a blessing. I truly believe that was the happiest moment of my entire life. I never felt joy and peace so deep in my soul. I mean total bliss. See, Ariel in a sense was my miracle baby. She proved to me that God always has the final say and no matter what you go through God is God alone. When man says no, God says YES! I learned to trust God in that situation and I was rewarded with something greater than I could ever imagine, Ariel.

Now she’s trying to leave me to go to get an education! (OK, I know that was a bit dramatic but you get the idea).

But today I am growing as a mother by allowing God to show me who he is again. I’m learning to trust things outside my level of control. If you know me personally you know I am the ultimate control freak. However, today I learning to let go! I want my baby to sore, and grow. Spread her wings and begin to learn to fly. It’s not always easy to remove your hand from a situation but sometimes letting go is the best option you have. I’m learning today that letting go may be extremely hard for me but it’s the best decision for my baby. Lucky, I still have a little home with me and she’s stuck to my like eyelash glue. Meaning, she picks and chooses when she wants to cooperate. She’s shady sometimes lol. As for Ariel, it’s time for my baby to begin a new chapter in her life. It’s time for her to sore and be great! I won’t let her go to far tho, just far enough to make it to kindergarten. Then we will revisit this whole school thing next year!
