How I Cleaned and Organized My Spice Drawer

November 23, 2021 lifestyle

Hey queens,

Can I be real for a second, I am beyond unorganized. I mean, I try my best but sometimes life just gets crazy. Case in point this kitchen of mine. Once I started content creating full time I realized I have way too many items on my countertops and in my kitchen period. I immediately started to find a place for everything and organize my kitchen. Then it hit me. Like a ton of bricks, as I opened my drawers and saw the mess that I and my family created.

Yes, I said family because I’m not completely at fault here. Insert sneaky grin lol.

The button line is that I have too much stuff. Half of which I don’t even use. It’s like a sea of lost oddly shaped serving spoons and spatulas. I have truly had enough. It’s time to get it together. If you are watching my YouTube vlog series then you know I am doing a 30-day glow-up challenge and this includes getting my home in order.

My first order of business has been my spice drawer. Pray for me, because this drawer was a hot mess express, OK!. I found expired spices and seasonings. Multiple jars of salt and four containers of black pepper. Yes four, and all of them were open. Like what is going on in this house.

It has gotten completely out of control and today I am starting to re-organize my kitchen. It took 2 hours to clean, organize, label, and store all of my spices. Well maybe not all of them since I ran out of jars, but 95% of them. It was a labor of love but I’ll be honest. It was so satisfying to do. Although I haven’t completed my kitchen organization yet I wanted to share with you the before and after of my spice drawer.

I didn’t realize how happy this would make me. Especially since I’m not really into organization and labeling.

I think I may have been beaten by the home decor bug.

If you’re not following me on Pinterest, now would be the time to do so. I will be posting all of my home decor updates there as well as some of my inspo for the rest of my home remodeling.

Let me show you what I’ve done so far.

I picked up these spice jars and labels from Amazon. This process showed me that I had more spices than I thought and as a result I ran out of jars. Below are the jars I ordered but fill free to look around for more options.

The Perfect Budget Charcuterie Board Under $20 From Aldi

November 19, 2021 lifestyle

So if you guys haven’t noticed I’m getting better with my charcuterie boards. In a previous post HERE I shared with you my very first attempt at making one and although it was cute I didn’t have a clue at what I was doing. If I’m being honest, I still don’t but they are looking a heck of a lot better. I’m also trying to experiment a bit more as well.

I kept the same thing in mind when creating this board. I wanted the best ingredients for an affordable price. Like previously, Aldi was by far the best option. I love that they have a great selection of cheese and crackers. Even though I don’t eat a ton of cheese, a girl loves her options. The crackers on the other hand I eat. My daughters happen to also like them as well.

For this board I used scalloped sea salt crackers. They are light, airy, and have just enough salt to complement any cheese or spread you would like. Although Aldi has a tone of fig, jelly, and cracker spreads they typically aren’t my thing and the kids get them everywhere. So that was a no no for my house.

Aldi also has a great gourmet deli selection for meats to use on your charcuterie board. I happen to like the Apple Farm Deli Selection option. It comes with pepper salami, hot capocollo, and hot calabrese. I like to take them and create little meat flowers on my board. They are simply the cutest thing ever and again, my girls love them.

When I make my charcuterie board I have to have some type of fruit included. This time I used grapes, and strawberries since we would be enjoying this board in the afternoon. I didn’t want anything too heavy before dinner. I also found a delicious sparkling cider that paired perfectly. Again, this was a kid friendly board and I made sure they had something cute to drink. I even let them use my wine glasses so they were extremely excited about that.

I spent less than $20 on this entire board and everyone enjoyed it. Aldi has everything you need for your next gathering and if you want more options check out their new charcuterie section in the store. If you want to see other boards people have created make sure you head over to Instagram and search the hashtag #AllAldi.

How To Style White Chelsea Boots

November 18, 2021 beauty, fashion

Hey queens!

I know I’m not the only one looking forward to the added layers this fall. Costs, hats, scarves, and gloves. Let’s not forget of course my personal favorite, boots. Tons and tons of them. I’m typically a thigh-high boot type of girl but lately, I have fallen in love with ankle boots. More specifically Chelsea boots. To keep it 100 with you, I never thought I would own white boots but this trend has definitely grown on me. I’m even thinking of adding a white pointed-toe boot option to my wardrobe next.

One thing I wanted to incorporate into my wardrobe was a few more staple pieces. I recently did a mini fall fashion haul featuring some essential pieces here and on my YouTube channel. I’m still adding to my closet in terms of essentials for clothing but I also needed some more boots to add to my closet as well. Hence why I grabbed these boots from Shoe Carnival.com.

These white Chelsea boots were a perfect addition to the fall wardrobe.

They are comfortable, chic, and pair well with my existing wardrobe. Chelsea boots are so easy to pair with jeans and a hoodie or a flannel coat. I love to wear an oversized sweater and skinny leg jeans for a casual relaxed look.

Get into this simple black and white look.

Below I also listed additional options in the event you are not into the white boots as much as I am. I also have a previous post here, where I listed some great fall boot options.  This post is in collaboration with #ShoeCarnival #ShoeCarnivalInfluencer #UnboxTheGiftOfJoy

The Obi Belt Dupe

November 11, 2021 fashion

I have been searching high and low for an affordable option for the Obi belt. After seeing it all over the internet I knew it would be a wardrobe essential for me.  I think I finally found a obi delt dupe.

After weeks of testing out different versions of this belt, I have finally found the perfect dupe. I shared it on my recent YouTube video below so that you would see how they look in real-time but they are absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this piece to everyone.

I picked out two of the three color options the site currently has available. I actually may or the third option.

You will definitely see me wearing this all over my Instagram in the coming weeks.

5 Perfumes Every Girl Must Have In Her Collection

October 25, 2021 beauty

Nothing is better than looking good. When you look good you also feel good and isn’t that the goal in life. To look and feel youre best. I would say so. Looking is high on my list but smelling good is next in line. Just like your favorite pair of jeans or that little black dress you love, I strongly believe women should have a signature scent. A go-to that your friends and family can identify you by. This perfume makes her feel beautiful, empowered, and of course sexy. I place emphasis on the sexy scent because I mean, I love to feel sexy. I have a growing perfume collection and decided to share some of the most complimented scents. These perfumes will be staples every girl should have in her collection. At least in my humble opinion anyway.

My Top 5 Perfumes

Black Opium

Perfume De Marly Delina

niche perfumes

Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal

Baccarat

I have an entire review on this perfume here. This really did change the way I viewed niche scents. I wanted to start collecting scents that where unique yet luxury. This perfume was my first “big girl purchase and it worth every penny. I even hair the body oil to go with it. It helps the perfume stay on longer and I don’t use as mucg of my spray since the body oil is scented. My money saving tip. The body oil is only $100 at the time of this post. You can check it out here.

Carolina Herrera Good Girl

I also have a couple of video reviews on the above mentioned perfumes as well as a glimpse of some of my current perfume collection. If your looking for some ideas to add to your collection this video will be great resources to help you find your signature scent.
